I forgot to mention...

... the other morning when the maintenance man was here (for a long long time), he investigated the dryer vent and found, not rodents, but a bird's nest. with 5 eggs. They must have been nice and toasty. Apparently bird chirping sounds a lot like mouse squeaking. He moved the nest and covered the vent so no more scurrying around sounds. That's all.

We had a wasp nest in ours last year. What did he do with the nest/eggs?
Have fun with Bethany!

Hmmm, so every time the dryer came on, Momma Bird was like, "Yay, the Babysitter!" And then she'd go run errands and eat worms from a yard three blocks away, hit up the local birdbath and possibly buy a new pair of shoes.

He just told us he moved the nest - not sure where to - a nearby tree perhaps?

Joy's comment made me smile.

My word verification is "undis". Reminds me of our conversation about "gitches".

Bethany - there is no plural for gitch, just gitch. 2 of them stays gitch and doesn't become gitches. hahaha.
