One of her new favorite things to do - "How Big is Aleah?"

Just hangin out, all squeaky. with a cool hairdo.

Easter Sunday - We had a potluck lunch with some friends and it was a nice time. She didn't sleep and it was next to impossible to get any good pictures of cranky, sleep deprived child. But here's a few anyway - finding her one and only egg, which she developed a fierce passion for.

Um, yeah, she really did fall in love with that purple plastic.

Hanging out with her friend and fighting over the one egg. I think it was confiscated for a bit for this picture. funny kids. Ok, that's all for now.

more and more pics, 24 pics

Ok, not really, just thinking of Dr. Suess. Aleah is 11 months today. 11 months... nooooooooo... the countdown is on to 1 year I guess. It seems like sweet little baby is going away forever and leaving a more toddlerish looking little person in her place. Anyway, she's had a big week - grandparents were here and just left today, she learned where her nose is, and what to do when we say obnoxious things like, "How big is Aleah?" (that one is really cute!). Then today a few hours after her grandparents left, she pulled up onto the couch a couple times. finally. So anyway, here's a pile of almost exactly the same looking Aleah sitting on the couch to pose for her monthy picture pictures.

Dave's dad got some great pics while they were here, but I just had to post a few of the ones we had. Love this pic of the 3 of them. All of these look really grainy on here and I couldn't totally fix all the shadows but I still like these 3 a lot. This was at a plantation.

K, that's all. night all.

Just for fun

I wonder if I can form a coherent thought. For some reason I'm updating my blog instead of going to bed. Last night I was trying to capture Aleah's little hair curly things - when it's wet it curls over her ears (or maybe I should say ear cause one side is way longer than the other) but then it goes away by morning after she sleeps on it. Anyway, here's some random fun with the camera I thought I'd share.

She didn't like my plan of a photo shoot. She's getting a little too fast. oh well.

Found the books - she loves looking at books and being read to. She looks at her books way more than she plays with toys.

The end. good night.

Funzies

Well well well... Just wanted to stop by and say hi and bless you with a few pics. These are not in order, but I had to do the best first. This picture just cracks me up to high heaven. oh my. So, my bosom pal Bethany came to visit from Sat. - Tues. of this week. It was so crazy fun having her here and taking her around to see some of the sights of Baton Rouge and all. And having more than an hour to talk. Friends are such wonderful things. Anyhoo... these pictures are from the capital building tower. I'm sure I've posted similar scenery pics to these but it was a long time ago so here are some more. Oh, and I should mention that it was crazy windy when we were up there. fun times.

How totally cool is this pic? Oh my, I love it!
This one tends to crack me up too for some reason.

These pics are Sunday night, sitting outside at a restaurant, gorgeous weather, a pretty fountain in the background, palm trees all over, great food and company... ummm hmmmm...

How did she weasel her way into every picture, anyway?

Ok, I guess that's all the pics of Bethany's visit. It really was a super fun time and went way too fast. Ok, jumping back in time - here's a random pic from a few weeks ago. I guess it's on FB so nothing new for all but 1 of you. haha.

10 months (and now almost 11, oh dear... )

The St. Patricks Day parade. Aleah mostly liked it until she got hit in the head with a plastic cup. Then she was fine again until things just got a little too loud and crazy. Then we moved back so she could chew on the beads in peace and she was happy again.

She's becoming such a little charmer. gracious. Whenever someone talks to her she grins from ear to ear and tilts her head to one side. Of course then they freak out over her even more, and then she carries on more, and then... it's impossible to get much shopping done. She'll look at people grinning trying to get their attention. She's finally crawling all over and really well, although tends to stick close to of us and not go exploring too much on her own. She's said "Hi Dad" a few times - if not intentional, she fooled us. She loves to eat and loves to feed herself and make a big mess. Can't believe she's almost 11 months. Time it does fly. Ok, I think that's it for now. Next installment, a visit from some grandparents! = )
